Air conditioning is not optional equipment on the Gulf Coast. When a system stops cooling, the cause can be anywhere from a leaking seal to a failed compressor to an electrical fault in the control circuit.
We diagnose the whole system rather than topping it off and sending you out. Refrigerant that disappeared went somewhere, and finding the leak is the part that keeps the air cold past next week.
We inspect pressures, the compressor and clutch, the condenser and evaporator, the blower and controls, and check for leaks before recommending a repair.

This is our general approach. Every vehicle is different, and recommendations follow an inspection. See the Service Disclaimer.
We measure vent temperature and system pressures to see how far the system is from where it should be.
Low refrigerant means it escaped. We look for the leak instead of only refilling the system.
Compressor, clutch, condenser, evaporator, blower, and the controls that switch them — a cooling complaint can start in any of them.
After the approved repair, we recharge the system to specification and check its performance.
Adding refrigerant to a system that is low will often restore cooling briefly, but the refrigerant left through a leak and will leave again. Finding the leak is what makes the repair hold.
That pattern often points to airflow across the condenser — a cooling fan or a blocked condenser, for example — but it can have other causes. Diagnosis identifies which applies to your vehicle.
Call us to discuss your vehicle. What's appropriate depends on the system, its age, and its history, and we'd rather look at it than generalize.
