2008 Chevrolet Suburban
A plan for a high-mileage purchase

The concern
The customer had recently purchased a high-mileage, one-owner Suburban. Its clean interior and cold A/C made a good impression, but they wanted an overall mechanical inspection — not a specific complaint to chase, but a clear picture of what they had bought.
The diagnosis
The inspection identified worn engine mounts, valve cover gasket leaks, a rear main seal leak, rear air-ride suspension failure involving the shocks and compressor, and tires needing attention. That is a normal result on a vehicle with high mileage, and it makes the findings themselves less useful than what you do with them.
The repair
Rather than presenting the list as all-or-nothing, we reviewed the findings and repair priorities with the customer. They elected to proceed with the recommended repairs except the air-ride suspension work, which they chose to defer to a later visit.
The outcome
The customer left with a clearer picture of the Suburban's condition and a repair plan that fit their ownership plans. The air-ride suspension work was left for a future visit — a known, documented item rather than an unknown. This is how we prefer to handle a long findings list — the decisions are yours to make.
